Developed through repeated crossings and sustained conversation, this portrait series emerges from time spent with Louis, a pirogue driver transporting villagers daily accros the lake. The work attends to the relational dimension of his role: not only moving people and goods between shores, but also naigating fear, uncertainty, trust, and collective depence on the crossing.

Throuhg portraiture and shared presence, the series explores how Louis inhabits the emotional and social landscape of the lake. His stories of routine, danger, strange encounters, and survival become part of a broader reflection on movement, care, and the humaninfrastructures that sustain everyday life.
